Comp problems

I have a 2002 2500, 6 speed HO with a FASS 150. I just installed an Edge Drag Comp today. I turned the key to check codes and I got a ton....

ECU

0216 - Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure - High fuel supply restriction, low fuel pressure or possible wrong or incorrectly installed pump key.

0236 - Map Sensor Too High Too Long - Problem detected with turbo charger waste gate

0237 - Map sensor voltage too low

1689 - No Communication between ECM and Injection Pump - Data link circuit failure between ECM and fuel injection pump. Low power, engine de-rated, or engine stops

1693 - DTC detected in Companion Module

I read a couple other people had trouble with these. So I checked the voltage on the fuel pump wires... it was good. I decided to start it anyway and see what happend. Truck ran fine... had the comp off. Drove it around the block... acted normally. Turned the comp on the level 2... still fine.. could notice a little more power.. turned it up to 5 with the secondary level down to 1. Lots of power... but pretty much blacked out the whole block. I don't have a code reader so I can't clear any of the codes and see what comes back. Does the 0216 code mean I have it on the wrong wire? I used the wire the directions said to........ Any ideas?

I'd disconnect the Comp and put everything back stock and drive around a bit to see if the motor runs ok. If it seems ok, a trip to the local chain type auto parts store can get your trouble codes reset then when you get home do the keyswitch DTC check. If it's OK then you can hook up your Comp without the pump wire and see how it does in EZ mode.
The instructions could be alot more clearer but the goofy, blurry pump wire pic is all we get, I guess I got lucky on mine. Here's the online instructions.

It doesn't mention the '02 MAP Sensor plug but I believe it's the same as an '01 and must be plugged in or you'll get the overboost code.

Well I found one little connection problem with the harness.... so I fixed that. I cleared all the codes... reconnected everything. Still dumping tons of smoke everywhere.... just no trouble codes now. Arg

There have been alot of folks put a comp on a weak vp, and has put them down for a dirt nap. The 0216 code is the first sign of that.
