Question Clutch Pics

The pics are horrible, but maby someone with trained eye will catch some key features of figuring out if i have a dual or single disk clutch.
These pics are through the slave cyl. hole
1st pic all you can see is the fork and center buttons/rivits?
2nd pic is tough. The circular item deep inside is the clutch, note the button?? at about 7 o/clock. Look Hard. Most of it is the hole for the slave cyl. My black flashlight is in both pics in the top left.
Look at my Members photo gallery for the pics under CLUTCH. THANKS!!!
This pic, all you can realy see is the 7 o'clock position of the clutch. Took me a sec to see it.

I can't tell by the pics, I thought it would be a longshot when I suggested it earlier. I think your best bet now would be to pull the tranny back to look at it when you've got a couple extra hours . Anyone else?

On edit, I've got a Sachs, Centerforce, and Haisley street twin sitting in the shop, I'll take a look tomorrow to see what I can find.

I burned the Haisley street twin, it was an excellent clutch just not made for sled-pulling (as I should have known anyway ). I'd like to see a pull of how many burned up Centerforces are out there!!!

Can't you get the street twin rebuilt?
I alway thought you could for like 1/3 the price.

I can get new disks fairly cheap, but I decided to go with a Mitchell for now. I've still got the whole Haisley setup and my future plans include selling the Mitchell and rebuilding the street twin into the street puller using my existing Haisley flwheel.

Dezl,
As for the original question you posted, I'd say you may have to pull your tranny and take a look. It's not a bad job once you've done it a few times. Since you won't be replacing anything or changing the orientation of the clutch disk/disks, it should slide back together painlessly. Did the original owner give you any information about what clutch he said was in there?

All he said was that the clutch was from Banks and it was a dual disk. Said it was like $1300 give or take (I cant remember). Anybody could say that though. To tell you the truth, it looks sort-of like that clutch on the banks side winder truck on bankspower.com. I seriously doubt its that one though. I dont think it was red (too much dust to realy tell, and just plan old hard to see). Those pics are a serious long shot i know.
So, the tranny is pretty easy to pull? How hard is it to remove and install the top bellhousing bolts?

The top bolts are not bad to get to compared to other vehicles on the road. My brother and I can get the bellhousing bolts out in about 15-20 minutes. You'll need a good tranny jack first. There is a crossmember in there that can be a pain, but push up and back and it will pop loose pretty easily. There are several other steps, but I'm at work and can't think of them all right now. Let us know if you decide to open it up and I'll try to post a list.

why bother, if it is holding leave it alone. if it slips then worry about replacing it. mike

Knowing if its a dual or not helps me plan on what bombs i want to do right now and a $clutch$ is not one of them.

I guess my only option is to pull the tranny back and take a peek. Deep down, thats what i would like to do anyways. I got a haynes manual (el cheapo) and it gives an overview of the job. Any tips or suggestions? I only want to pull it off just enough to see the clutch if possible.
