Which Chip????????

Helping a freind with a 2000 six-speed dually welding truck. What is "the best" chip and any other adders to improve hp mildly? Maybe a set of mild sticks and what else? Thanks for the help. Paul

Smarty or Edge. Smarty is down loader but can read and clear codes and give some other fine tuning. Edge W/ Attitude provides the guages you would need if you add any power. If no after market lift pump that would need to be considered as well. Stix might be the best choice as some can increase fuel mileage while increasing performance. Guages are recommened with sticks as well, as EGT will rise. Also have to make sure the stix aren't to big for the turbo. This is just my .02 for free so take it for what it is worth. Also the transmission has to be considered. If manual clutch might be needed depending on load and power goals. If automatic, they don't take much power before reliablity goes way down. There are upgrades available but that can be major coin.

Depends on what you mean by "improve hp mildly" haha.
Mild would be an Edge EZ or Quadzilla XZT+. Both are about 65 hp chips, with noticeable throttle response and power, real user friendly, and would be just fine without having to upgrade trans/clutch, turbo, or lift pump.
Of coarse gauges are always a good idea.

Dieselfreak opinion is good, but with the Juice/Attitude, youll need to start lookin at strengthening up other parts. Same with the Smarty if you run it on higher settings IMO.

Thanks guys. I have the Smarty on my 07 and love it, and built a nice 12v, just don't know to much about the 24v.
