checking line pressures
checking line pressures
ok i here that a tc and valve body is ok if there is no internal leakage and you need to check the line pressures to make sure of this . so how do i check this
If you understand the auto trans, just use a gauge on the ports on the right side of it.
Middle port is angled forward and is the line/ accumulator port. This will show the pressure you want to raise/check. Then you need to go to the front port and it needs to be with-in 3-5 psi of the middle one.
Middle port has pressure in drive.
Front port has pressure in 2and 3.
Best to get a manual and the best is the Factory service manual.
0-300 gauge is good.
There is a lot more that gauge reading will show.
