I have talked to two or three different people that supply full set ups. All have said about the same thing...."The parts alone will run about $4,000.00". Only other way to do it is fab your own. Still got to be 2,000-3,000 in parts and a LOT of labor/trial/error time!

I'm convinced that big breakthroughs are coming for larger single turbos...at about 50-60% of the cost. Variable pitched....pnuematically/electronically controlled boost, etc. But I have felt this way for a yr now...and very little has showed up...yet!

Doesnt Haisely machine have a twin setup for 3600?

OH yes here it is, on edit though, i think for what its worth, its best to just buy a set of twins...

Id rather bolt up and have fun than do all the tuning and spend hours, ur payin for it its already all done for ya..

on the twin turbo sites where they give you directions installing the kits......it talks about replacing the tranny pan so the downpipe misses it....? is this a problem because the kit doesnt even come with the tranny pan so.....why design it to hit the tranny pan?

Storx

Think you are refering to the Tranny Cooler/Heat Exchanger (applies to Auto trannys only)...not Tranny Pan??

They are small turbos, if I remember correctly....will produce maybe 45 or 50 psi boost. Not what I would consider best way to go?
Also, if I remember correctly, the Jegs package does not include Air Intake/ filter... 5" exhaust, or an ATS type manifold (recommended by most twin sellers)....which will add $1,000+/- to the cost of parts. Plus shipping?
I may be wrong on this.

Even if I was only shooting for 45 psi boost, I would rather tone down a set up designed for 60+ psi....in order to get max cool/dense air out of the twins by working them easy! JMO.

you can fab a set for less than a grand if you use a stock wastegated HX35 on top and a $450 HT3B on bottom (I got a used HT3B for $25! )

other than that it's a little welding and some clamps

Forrest is right, I think I have less than 900 in mine with a new 3b and a new tial wastegate with a used 35 and the tubing. It really isn't that hard to fab up just time consuming, course mine are on the engine stand and not in the truck yet. The piping cost less than 100 dollars and I made all of my own flanges. I just hope it fits without cutting up to fit.
