Cheap Horsepower
I have a 91 cummins, but I do not have the original motor in it. It instead has a 5.9 cummins out of a 93 motor home ( I guess thats all they could find at the time) but anyways it has an inline pump on it like the 94's an up do. My truck doesn't have an intercooler, I wish it did though. I had a 92 cummins a few years back and I was able to up the power easily on it. I was wondering if there was a simple way of getting a few extra horses, by way of something simple I could do myself. I'm a married college student so the budget is very slim. Any suggestions?
read on this forums: "Performance and Accessories 2nd gen only"
search for "Fuel plate" "AFC and starwheel" read, read lots, and you'll find anything you need! and feel free to ask on a specific mod!
you can grind your own fuel plate, for free, get yourself a #10 or #100 plate and turn in the WOT screw (wide open throttle stop screw)
these mods drop abound 3 sec of your 1/4 (in my case)
