I had to have my engine chained down this week, kept on popping the boost elbow off the intercooler on the turbo side from twisting the engine too much, chained on the driver side with a half inch of slack, also installed an intercooler boot kit on my truck too while it was there, the stock boots are paper thin and weak these I put on are 5 ply. Have not popped it off since.

 

Sounds like your motor mounts are worn out if you are getting that much twist.
