Cant hold the power please help!!
anyone have any suggestions on where to find a strong twin disc clutch for a 2001 6 spd i have alot of power and my luk cant hold it anymore i need a clutch asap but i have no clue on what twin discs are the best i need one over 1000 ft lbs thanks to anyone who can help
i called this place http://www.southbendclutch.com/ they offer a dd for mine(G56) and i am saving up to order it.....i talked w/ a guy named peter(nice dude) I bet they can fix you up
Haisley also makes really good dual disk clutches. Their street drag would be perfect for what you need. very streetable and you wont slip it. on the site it says not for sled pulling. But we talked to van and he said with the new design it would be fine to pull just dont come off with really high rpm. I got a really good deal one one, and it's going in on monday.

The Southbend 3600lb. 12 button dual disk is an awesome clutch with superb street/towing manners, and it will not slip. The pedal effort is at least 20% more, but not enough to wear out your left leg shifting that 6 speed.
I ran 2 different versions in my 03 6speed, and they performed perfect.

Call Enterprise Engine performance they are just south of columbus off 70 they make there own DD clutch and it is straight up BAD their phone number is (740) 246-6329 ask for Brian or Doug tell them randy lamarr sent you. they will hook i mean HOOK you up.
ive been hearing that the enterprise clutches squweel alot when you let out on it? right now im leaning towards the haisley but i dont know its a very hard decision i dont want to have to drop that tranny any more
I wouldn't try an Enterprise clutch on the street...it is much more specialized for pulling!
I'm running South Bend's lightest duty DD...and so far at up to 400+hp it's held up perfectly! I have about 65K miles on it, and I think it needs a pilot bearing, so I'm gonna throw one of those in it soon! Other than that, no problems AT ALL!! I also pull trailers up to 35K pounds on occasion, and I'm almost always over 25K when hooked up, so I think I've put this one through it's paces!

if the enterprise clutch is the same as a mitchell which I think it is, It is very noisy. When the pedal is pushed in the squeal is louder than the motor. it sounds like metal on metal. when you let off it squeals also. it can be hard to get into gear as well. its a great sled pulling clutch, but I know a guy who is taking his out and putting the haisley street drag in due to onroad manners. I dont think you can go wrong with a haisley, plus when I spoke with van in murfeesboro he said the street drag can be sledpulled with just dont slip it at high rpm coming off the line.
