The experts wil probably chime in soon but from my experience leads on things like pyros are calibrated and if you shorten the lead it will cause erroneous readings. Don't know on the Isspro pyro.

It should be calibrated for a wire that length so don't cut it.
Also be sure to route it away from any wires that can cause some noise transmission.
I know how to recalibrate for shortening wires but it takes some test equipment most don't have. In a nut shell you add resistance via a potentiometer or set of fixed resistors to make up for the wire you cut out.
So don't cut it.
