I agree about guages. You definitely need to know what you transfer pump pressure is to the injection pump. I don't agree however that you need a new transfer pump. The factory transfer pumps are nothing to cheer about but should support 60 more horsepower, and the aftermarket pumps are spendy. I had the factory transfer pump on my truck with the edge ez and had no issues with excessive pressure drop. I have had an Edge EZ, Edge Comp, Edge Juice, Quadzilla Adrenaline, and Smarty. My favorite, Smarty! Way versatile! USB updatable, anti theft modes, speed limiting for valet mode, cold weather functions, speedo adjust for tire size, 1/2 power, code reading and great power. If you find that after you have made the modification that your transfer pump pressure is dropping to under 6 psi under full load, then yeah, get an aftermarket transfer pump.
