break-off screw?

is there a need to replace the breakoff screw if it is chiseled off?

Nope

I ran mine that way for a while, then i went and got some replacement screws from the dealership, i didnt say it was the breakoff screw nor the other 8mm ones, and i got two for i think four dollars, but even if u run them without that screw, it dont matter....

No, just use a regular bolt or screw. The break-off screw is just there to see if the pump has been tampered with for warranty purposes.
Long gone on your '97
I always replace all the screws with allen head cap screws, makes it much easier to get in next time.

i just slid the plate fwd as well as the afc and im very pleased with the results. not much difference with egt maybe 100*. just wondering how much extra hp and tq is had by sliding everything like i did. cant wait for 3GSK
