Break controllers
I let a friend use my truck to haul his trailer with my Maxbrake installed. Now he said he must have one. But we are unable to find one . seems Maxbrake and brakesmart have goon out of business. just the time there is a great electric break controller on the market and now they are gone. Now what does he use. He just bought a new tundra trd and towrs and equipment trailer at 9k every day. I don`t have a clue what to tell him to buy. All advice appreciated !

I have one of the inertia controllers called a Curt Reflex (http://www.curtmfg.com/part/51130). Works fantastic, you can set it in a second or two for a loaded trailer or empty trailer so no more trailer tire flat spots! Handles up to 4 axles of electric brake units. Changes the amount of braking when you're going uphill or downhill automatically.
Simple wire-up and easily mounted. I tow a 40' three-axle 5th wheel enclosed car trailer that runs about 9000# empty. We're about 21K# fully loaded for a race weekend.
The mfg wants like $200 for it but you can find it online for half that if you look. I think I got mine off e-bay for $80.

the maxbrake makes the above look like unsafe junk toys that they are. smartbrake is the one no longer made, not as many dealers for the maxbrake, do a search and get a dealers list.
