Bought&Installed the Caltrac Traction Bars
All the local tracks closed and the weather tunred for the worse before I could experiment with firmer shock settings. I haven't had much saddle time with it since Oct, but I may get it out this weekend.
How much preload load are you running on the bars? Pivot Bar touching the leaf and then 1/4 turn tighter as recommend by Caltrac?

Joel:
I started out with what Calvert Racing recommended on the pre-load, that being, "pivot bar touching the leaf and then 1/4 turn tighter" as you posted there, but I go slightly further on mine turning about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn AFTER the Pivot Bar makes contact with the leaf. Joel, on my truck the "tighter" setting seems to help the wheelspin a little more. I do have to "adjust" though to the individual track conditions each time I drag race and have found that on real tacky/sticky tracks I can run the "Cal-Tracs" somehat looser than I can on slippery or slicker tracks. I will say though that John Calvert has done his "homework" on the settings of these bars though because his recommendation as you wrote above will get you VERY close to where you need to be and that in itself really surprised me. That is why I leaned to Calvert Racing because John Calvert drag races himself and understands the dynamics of what these bars need to do!
