Borgeson steering shaft
Borgeson steering shaft
I've been replacing/updating suspension parts on my truck since Ive bought it.
I have DSS, rebuilt track bar, new sway bar links, alignment. Its much better than what I've started with. I know my gear box is most likely original with 134K miles on it and so is steering shaft.
I was wondering if anyone is running a borgeson steering shaft and did it improve steering feel, etc.

I run the borgeson shaft but I did that mod at the same time as I swapped out the original gearbox for their delphi one.
About all I can say is that unless you have slop in the shaft itself, like a bad universal, it probably wont do much. The box is decent, seems fairly tight. Still wanders all over the place however. Part of that is the angle of the trackbar its supposed to be as close to level as possible so the arc doesnt make the truck lurch side to side.
Also, the DSS for the OEM box wont fit the borgeson gearbox, supposedly the holes need to be relocated a little, have not verified this.
