Can you do boosted launches (often) with a SBC CON-FE??

 

i wouldnt! ive got a DD and ive launched at around 40 psi a few times in 4x4, but i sure wouldnt do it on a single disk

ha, youd smoke your very expensive clutch! like, as in have to buy a new one


well, i say that. You could do maybe a 10 psi launch, but you cant ride the brake, accelerator and clutch like it do. it would only take about a second and a half to two seconds to tear your new clutch to shreads

 

haha thats what i thought , and one more thing, i know the FE's are supposed to be very grabby but will that smooth out with driving?

 

cant help ya there. Never had the Fe. i dont see why it wouldnt smooth out though...

 

Alright, thanks for the help, boosted launches are fun but not $1000 worth of fun

 

My FE smoothed out the more I drove it either that or I got used to it. It is still a little grabby but not to bad. I got about 5K on it.
