So how much boost should I see with the boost elbow on my pickup? I am only seeing 20psi and to me thats the max on a regular elbow,when I put my chip back on I was positive I put the boost elbow back on and pitched the factory but I am thinking I pitched the boost elbow and put the factory one back on if so any one have one they want to spare

 

I put an adjustable elbow on mine, played around with and settled on 26 lbs with a 6k load. I can tell the difference once I get to 21k and go past the 19.5lbs from the old setting. EGT down 50 to 75 degree. Also the engine sounds better.

 

I would see a max of 32 with the hx35. You could get a J hook, spring or just weld it shut like I did. I know I won't have enough fuel to overboost it so I'm not worried about it being shut. You can put two tack welds on the outside so you can easily grind them off if you want a wastegate again.

 

my truck will boost to 38 lbs . truck pulls great and have great fuel usage.the boost when up to 38lbs when I put in the boost elbow when I installed the 10 torque plate.

 

You can simply remove the boost elbow and put a plug in its place if you want to bypass the wastegate altogether. Might let you know which one you tossed.
