boost gauge line quick question!!

I just put my boost pressure gauge in a few minutes ago and i have a couple of questions.....
1) can i snip the boost line off to the right length or does it have to be 10 ft?
2)i drove it down the road and held the boost gauge up to make sure it was working before i fasten it in..... my boost was around 18psi....does that sound about right for my setup??(check sig)

Thanks
Callum

Yup, snip it down to the shortest length that will fit, leaving enought left so that it isn't tight.

Boost sounds about right. I had a 99 with the 4.5" SJ lift and 35's with roughly the same mods at one time. That's about what I was seeing.
