boost elbow or "T"

Instead of buying a new elbow for the turbo to adjust boost, why couldnt you just put a "T" in the line that is adjustable? Just a thought, tell me if Im wrong.

If your talking about some kind of pressure regulator...that's what is used on an external wastegate (see gallery). Works well! Probable more expensive, No?

Im not talking about anything that fancy, just a "T" fitting in between the compressor and exhaust housing in the rubber hose that has an adjustable screw on the end not clamped to the hose. Same concept as the elbow having an adjustable screw but this could be placed someplace more convenient and not have to tamper with the turbo itself. Just a thought.

Been using standard air tool/paint gun regulator forever on Grand Nationals and Turbo II Mopars. No reason it wouldn't work on a cummins... Nice part is that you can run the line in the passenger compartment and exhaust it back out. Voila... Adjustable boost controller from the driver's seat.
