Blowoff Valve?
Re:Blowoff Valve?
Your best bet is to go to a DSM (dimond Star Motors) web site like this one http://www.dsm.org/menu.epl?item=1 those are a bunch of "free mods" as they call them. You can up your boost on those things with a trip to the pet store. Those are fun little cars. Mine was a 91' TSI AWD 5spd. Mod the air box/can on your car if it hasnt been done. On mine all I did was take the silencing horn off and you could hear that little baby turbo spool.
Thanks alot very helpful site!
Re:Blowoff Valve?
I heard that the reason you cant put a BOV on our trucks from the factory is cause they have no Butterfly valve (engine brake). Is that true or not?

Although an Engine brake has a Butterfly valve, the Engine Brake goes in the Exhaust, creating backpressure, a "butterfly valve" goes in the intake to create a vacuum in the intake manifold.

Hope this helps.
Merrick Cummings Jr
Re:Blowoff Valve?
Yah,, rip it out.

It does exactly what an e-brake would do, but, it is a general Ford idea,,,, Half-Way. Doesn't heat it up, doesn't slow it down but, it does make more backpressure,,, :
Re:Blowoff Valve?
It heats it up and slows it down pulling a 7K trailer going down hill doing 75 and took the cruise off and it stayed at 75 kinda slowed it down maybe a mile or too.
