Black or Chrome stack

i am wanting to put a single stack on my truck and i don't know if i should go chrome or black. my truck is black but i have chrome steps and rims and so on. how do the guys with the black stacks do it. do they buy chrome stacks and paint over them or just buy a piece of pipe and paint it. what does everyone think i should do. i am going 5" too.

I'm guessing it won't matter much. Pain will chip, chrome will "color" a tiny bit if it gets hot enough. Have you considered brushed stainless in the 6" dia size? No rust, no pittings, and more heat tolerant before coloring up.And, just my preference, go twin stacks.

black cloud has them, or you can go to your local kenworth, or truck place, that work on 18 wheelers they would probably be the cheapest.

A single black stack would look good on your black truck, Have you seen the new finish "Black Crome". I think for single stack 6 or 7in look better than a single 5. My next stack setup is going to be a single 7in miter.

I bought regular aluminized metal then used a high temp balck paint for like barbeques and what not. So far so good no chips peels or heat related blemishes.
