Which one is cheap but is still worth it? Which one would you get?

I believe it's the Baldwin that I buy for $28 at a trucking supply in Albuquerque. Beats the NAPA by almost half. Also, I'd be surprised if Baldwin and Fleetguard weren't manufactured by the same folks...the filters and labels look identical.

Ok cause i have a O Reilly's and Napa and an autozone near me. Would they have all of them?

I paid about 50 at a Cummins place for a Fleetguard.

What do you all use for the moisture protection?? What is the diameter of pipe do you all use to keep the filter from crushing at the seal?? I have a guy who wants to try one and I have only seen one in use. Thanks and Goodluck,,,Rick

 

I use the Fleetgaurd AH19004.... it's the marine version of the AH19037. It's waterproof, but it's a little spendy at $135.

 

Did you make a heat shield for it?? Is it a renewable filter as in clean and oil?? Thanks,, Rick

 

i used the napa and put the outerwears on for water protection, it works pretty good too

 

I use an Outerwears too. It's amazing how much stuff is caught by the it. My filter looks practically new. As far as a support collar. Depending on which brand you buy, you may not need it. The one I have has a hard plastic collar. If you need an interface, a "DWS to Drain 3"x4" Reducer" should do the trick.

 

write the numbers down on a piece of paper. Call the 3 stores and see which ones they have, and write the prices down. Stand back, and see which price is the best. Go buy the cheapest one becuase they are all the same.


thats what I did. Its a simple, yet highly effective plan.

The cheapest one I found was at a small, mom&pop parts house in Sweeny. it was like 31 bucks.
