Best way for retorques on a studded/oring with marine gasket head.
Just got done with the NEW ported and polished head install with orings and a .020" marine gasket. I started her up and warmed her up to operating temp.
Now, How in the heck do I do these retorques? I have read you want to do them HOT, COLD, and WARM.
Also, What sequence do I do? I have read LINE TORQUE them and I have heard to do it the way Cummins states (start from the middle and work your way out) which I did for the first torque.
AND, do I just loosen the nuts and ARP moly them and then torque them back down to #125 or do I do a #30-#60-#90-#125?
I wish it was as simple as buying the parts. I dont want to do this again

I just finished doing mine today and following Jetpilots instruction I went
20-40-60-80-100 then started and warmed up to operating temp. Let cool for 3 hours with the hood closed then re-lubed the nuts and went 110-120-125. I used lots of ARP lube and all torques were done in the factory rotational order. Right arm is almost to tired to lift beer......almost
