where is the best place to tap the boost line on an 01 auto intake manifold or the intercooler just before the engine?

There is a plug on the manifold that can be removed and used....

I removed the intake horn and drilled and tapped a fitting for boost.

There's a plug in the block right by the MAP sensor that can be used. I've used that one on mine for about 30K miles.

It should be the same when measuring at either location.

I did mine like Shovelhead's. I wouldn't recommend tapping before the intercooler-- you want to know what you're getting at the manifold.

I'm about 15 minutes west of Washington DC, in Arlington Virginia.

Thanks.
