For the truck in your sig., to improve the towing capability it is the best stand alone mod on the market. Others work, but EZ is proven and reliable. What other questions do you have?l

 

starting to order parts [get them all into one place] as i have the eng scattered all over shynoah.
ceramic pistons from east coast and so on....just want to do it right the second time.
this is the eng that was put to gather w.o. oil cooler jets in place aparently if you have been following my little night mare.

 

If you're still using the original Injection pump, I'd stay away from the "wire piercing" boxes.

If it has been replaced, a Comp or TST with some decent sized injectors should fill the bill. (Might need bigger turbo to compliment though)

I'd give Rod a call at Wildcat to see what a total package might run.

I DID NOT KNOW any better and put in the 275 injectors when i was tring to find the thump in the eng. anyway thats the story and i guess ill have to up grade on those after awhile.

 

I run the the tst on my truck its the same as yours except for 3;55 rears it does the best for my towing purposes and with the remote you can adjust the output. I've already put 6k on the truck with the pump peirced and it has been no problems . I've even got the dreaded 53 block and its got 177k on it

 

Another box to take a look at is Diesel Dynamics true torque power module. It is very similar to the ez (which I have) and is made by edge for DD but with DD's parameters. The timing is not quite as advanced and you don't get quite the timing hammer that you do from the ez. The EZ has settings for full fuel at 3,10 & 20psi the DDTTPM has settings for timing only, full fuel at 10 and 20psi. If I had it to do over again I think I would go with the DDTTPM. I have no problems with the ez and love it and highly recommned it but the timing hammer is a little more than I personally care for.
