getting a super b from a buddie it was on an 04.5 any reason it wouldent bolt up to my stock manifold and would piping still work? thanks

 

It will fit just needs some tinkering with, and a down pipe they use the v band clamp. You will have to reclock the turbo( tinkering) so it lines up with piping.

 

It will bolt right up to your manifold and the outlet to the intercooler will be the same. The only thing you are gonna need is a new down pipe eithe an hx-40 style or a 3rd gen style depending on what the turbo has on it.

Unless these turbos are different, then the outlet to the intercooler will not be the same. The 3rd gens outlet has the 90 degree on the compressor housing already where as the elbow for the 2nd gens are not made onto the housing, but are a seperate piece altogether. On my old Aurora 2000 that was made for a 3rd gen, I had to make an elbow to make the outlet mate to the intercooler tubing.

 

You may need to finess the oil drain pipe a little around the wastegate actuator as well. With the downpipe, the install should go smoothly. Good luck.

 

just have a lot of freaking patience.... it won't be as simple as some make it out to believe. you will be on it all day, and i had to cut and weld the dp to make it work.

 

Guy's while were on the subject I was looking at a super b special from Bd that I thought might work on my 12 valve but it was designed for a third gen truck,can I get it to fit? What would need to be done??
