Cool B/Dog Torque Dog....stacked with what????!!...please help!

Ok, I just bought a Bully Dog Torque Dog, and am wondering what are some good stack combos to go with it?? I know, Smarty comes to mind immidiately, but I'm wondering if there's anything else? Anyone have the torque dog, and what do you think about it?? Ever stacked it with anything, if so, what?? Thanks for the input! Trying to get some stuff ordered cause the great deals on stuff cause of Christmas!

Bump....anyone???

What about the Xzillaraider, TST box, or the Redline Blue Chip? What would best compliment and blend well with the Torque Dog??

I ran a Torque dog for a short time, It feels like a EZ & some guys say that they pretty much are. If this is true you would want a box that doesn't do timing like a TST. Your sig says Juice, why the switch to T dog?

Yeah I actually need to edit a lot of the stuff in my sig lol. Well one reason is my mechanic has had nothing but problems with the edge, trucks are always coming in to him because something with the edge and the trucks electronics. Well mine was one of them, so after spending too much money fixing problems and stuff I decided it would be best to start over and get rid of one of the causes. So that's why the switch.

So you're saying to get a TST or not the TST. What about the smarty with the Torque Dog?? The only thing I don't like about that is it's not adjustable on the fly. How are those TST's? They pretty good???

The TST is good, but I've read posts saying the Edge Drag is way smoother although it won't stack with T-Dog.

Yeah, I'm trying to find something a little less expensive than the TST though lol, or would prefer to anyway. If I had 2 boxes that both required the MAP sensor, I couldn't leave one unplugged could I??? Probably not, having a hard time finding a stack, or several options anyway, what about the Smarty??

Typically, a fuel only module will only plug into the MAP sensor (plus the wire tap). You can plug the Torque Dog box and whatever fuel box you have into the MAP plug together (thus the term "stacking") and then plug into the Data link plug with the Torque Dog box. Your least expensive option would probably be the Xzillaraider and the Torque Dog stack. The Quad box is the cheapest out of the 3 that I mentioned before.

Does the Torque Dog use the Data Link as well?? Cause I looked at the Quad box and it plugs into that also.

Ok, I'm reading the Torque Dog right now and it says - Plugs into injection pump, or into the port link boost sensor(I'm guessing the MAP) depending on what type of vehicle you own. (then it goes on to say) - Plugs into the data port link and boost sensor.

So I'm kinda getting mixed things in there lol lol. What exactly does it plug into!? I'm getting that it taps the wire, MAP, and Data Link....is that correct? How would I do two boxes that require the Data link??? And is it ok to run two into the MAP???

Just looked at Quad's website and the XZT box plugs into the MAP, and Data Link, doesn't tap the wire though. It says it's a timing and fuel box. Couldn't I just not plug it into the data link and it would be a fuel only or doesn't work that way? lol

Ok, stay with me here--The Torque Dog plugs into the MAP and Data link connector. Ahhhh, I just went to Quad's website and they have taken the Xzillaraider box off of the website for the 98.5-02's. No wunder ur confused, all they show is the XZT+. You can still get the Xzillaraider through various vendors. That would be the one you want, NOT the XZT+. If/when you get a fueling box, you would plug the T/Dog box into the Data link plug-- connect it (T/Dog) AND ur fueling box to the MAP plug and then tap the VP wire with the fueling box. A FUEL ONLY box does not plug into the Data link connector, only the MAP plug and then taps the VP wire. Does that help??

I think you'll catch on since we figured out that you've been looking at the XZT+ all this time. That's why u were confused.

Ohhhh, ok that makes more sense!!! lol lol Sorry about that. Thanks for the clarity though! I'll be searching other vendors for that box. That helps a ton!!!

I had just never heard about being able to plug two of them into the MAP at the same time lol. Didn't know if that causes anything bad with the trucks electronics cause putting 2 of them in. I'm just coming off of a horrible ordeal with my trucks electronics and want to avoid it again. I'm going on my 4th or 5th week without this truck.

Hink - Ok, I found a website that showed those boxes. Here's what I saw...

Xzillaraider XZT 60hp/165#tq. Didn't say how it hooked up at all though, I'm still looking into that, I guess it's a constant supply of that power cause it doesn't say about adjusting it at all.

Xzillaraider XZT adjustable 120hp/320#tq. Said it plugs into the MAP, and taps the pump wire. But it also said it increased fuel capabilities and advanced timing for huge mileage gains.....The Torque Dog does timing as well, I don't want 2 that do that?

I just saw another one
Xzillaraider XZT adjustable 60hp - same as above but $100 cheaper(better to get the above power/price.

Thanks for the help!!! I'll be getting one but want to make sure it won't screw me up lol. I've just heard you don't want two boxes that do timing together, or is this a little different, or not add as much timing???

Xzillaraider XZT is a fuel box=60hp. An Xzillaraider is adjusttable to 120hp and is a fuel box. They both tap the VP. I believe you can send them to Quad and have the timing taken out of them.
or not add as much timing???
Yes, they add very little. Like I said, I think you can send them in and have Quad remove timing from them to make them a stacking box, but I think they say that the timing that these boxes add is so minimal that most people don't have a problem.

Oh ok, that's good to know. I'll try to contact Quad and ask them if they'd be able to do that. Or I'll see how much timing the Torque Dog gives and how much the Xzillaraider gives and see if it'll be about the same as like the smarty or the Juice that I had, if those two together will make just as much not any more or much at all I might be alright with that! Thanks for the help, sure narrowed it down!

You wouldn't happen to know an ok amount of timing would you, or someone that does???
