Question Axle Truss

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of axle trusses for our trucks? I am straightening my front axle and want to reinforce it. I can't seem to find them any more.

IMHO - bolt on braces are about useless, and are little more than money wasting "dress up" items.

Why do you need a front truss anyway? Are you jumping your truck? I can't think og anything where you would NEED a truss, and anything I can think of falls under the "abusing and mis-using your truck" category, where a truss generally is not going to help anyway.

If you still think you need one - find a local off road fabrication shop and they should be able to build you a good truss that permanently attaches to the axle housing.

My son had an accident in my truck. I was with him so I know what really happened. He drove up an embankment after hitting a rock in the road. The rock cost me a wheel. We then went back across the road bouncinging on the the left front wheel and then up the embankment on the other side we finally stopped 50ft off the road. You can see where the left side of the axle hit the rubber stop and then bent the axle housing coming out of the pumpkin. I am going to straighten the axle and then put a truss on it. I was just looking to see what is available before I made my own.

Gotcha - just checking to see if this was something you anticipated to repeat... and it sounds like a resounding NO

If you have the capability to make it yourself, I have a feeling you will be sorely disappointed with bolt-on deals...

Best of luck
