Ok I hook up my terk xmd1000 to my pio110 and plug the ipbus into the hide away unit and i can only hear xm though the aux source. It wont light up like the sources that are working. I also have a cd-IB100II and it doesnt work either, the ipod lights up and everything but the head unit it self doesnot reconize it. Am I missing any cables? I got the nav 30 pin, rca cable, power cable, and antenna. Now I saw somthing about an xm data cable. Does this come with the radio? Any help would be appreiciated, Thank you,

Hate to be the one to break this to ya but the terk garbage which I also sell does not work with the avic-n2. You need the pioneer gexp920xm. I know it doesnt make sense but I have gone through the same ordeal. The terk stuff is real crap, you can buy the pioneer equivilent for the same price and it always works flawlessly whereas the terk has loose connectors and is otherwise overcomplicated setup for a rather simple task.

 

Where did you buy this stuff at? Circuit City perhaps?

 

I had the p920 and it did the same thing. Anything that I plug into the ipbus DOESNT work. I got it all at circut city. Why doesnt the ipod work. I gota be missing something.

 

Okay the terk may work with the n2 but not the d2 my mistake. Even so the terk wont give you a display on the screen. If you want navtraffic you will need the GEX-P10XMT and it will give you the logos of the station on screen. I f you dont want the nav traffic you need the gexp920xm. HERES a bit of install advice the IPBUS cable for these units are directional. Meaning that the blue plug in the back of the radio needs to be connected to the corresponding blue end of the cable and the black to the black of the xm box or Ipod interface. These words are from my pioneer rep who happens to be drinkin a beer with me right now . see if that works.

 

I know that about the cables . It just seems anything I hook up to the ip bus DOES NOT WORK. I saw somthing for an xm data cable do I need it. I really want the Ipod to work. I plug it in and it just clicks.

 

The data cable is for the nav traffic. Does the ipod interface work when it is plugged in by itself? How old is your Ipod? Sounds like you know what you are doing, you may have a bad part somewhere.

 

I got everything working. I just went and spent the money a nd bought a gex-p10xmt. My xm works and my ipod. Thank you for your help
