What is an average price for 275 RV Injectors? Would you buy a used set?

Why bother with used? I think you can get a set for 350 new, maybe cheaper. I know you can get the marine injectors for 300 new.

You can do better than that used price, and get new from RIP, if you send yours in afterward as core exchanges. Bgt some for a friend last month. Give him a call!

I bought used from a member here. That with my ebay EZ, and Ace hardware turnbuckle puts my engine mods at a whopping $332.00.

.....that said I had a customer that bought a set of RV injectors from a place on-line. He brought them to me for the install. Noted right off the bat that they didn't have any part number on them like a couple other sets I did (including my used ones). Installed them and engine had a miss. Found #1 was the issue. Swapped #1 and #2 and miss moved. Put one of his stock ones in so that he could at least drive it. I road tested it plus let it run for awile. Shut it down and whaalaa!!....the engine was "making oil". Pulled the valve cover off and ran engine. Found two of the injectors were leaking fuel into the crankcase. Pulled those two injectors and started investigating. What I found is that the O rings on the injector body were smaller diameter than the stock ones. Called the customer with this info, he called the vendor. I ended up ordering Cummins Orings and since we were pulling the injectors "again" that we would also go with new cross tubes. Installed the new Orings and tubes and engine ran fine. Took a bit of hair pulling, but we finally got it and it runs/pulls good. Just be aware of that "smokin deal" on some injectors.

Thanks, I'd better new ones from a good source. I think I'll give RIP a call.

Thanks
