i seriously doubt auto dim tow mirrors but who knows...most of us have a hard enuf time finding tow mirrors that look worth a crap let a lone auto dim tow mirrors...but mayb someday :

I want auto-laser/missle firing mirrors for those folks who come up behind me and can't figure out what that bright blue light on their instrument panel is trying to tell them.<br>"Hellooooooo your high beams are on"..........

Auto dimming would be excellent. I have the old style 4-legged mirrors and like them well enough, but something to cut the glare at night would be great.<br>With the technology of LCD windows becoming more available, it would seem not too difficult a task.<br><br>Maybe meanwhile a window tint film could be selected that wouldn't darken the mirror much, but would help the glare.<br>I have a buddy that is very knowledgeable in that field, I'm going to run it by him.<br><br>There may be someone on here with such expertise, what do you think?

Mount a set of Hella 550's to the rear bumper. Hook it to a toggle, and when they don't dim, let them have it right back. They get the idea real fast.
With my luck it would be a smokey who was eating a donut and forgot to turn his high beams off
