i have a 2000 cummins that jumps 2 or 3 times when getting up to 50 mph or greater. it also always jumps at 50 when im in O/D. a friend said the TPS, or APPS, could be bad. so i disconnected it to see, but when turning on the truck, the pedal doesnt work. so simple troubleshooting tells me that it might not be that, but i dont know much about it so i wanna know if it could still be faulty in any way and what the next step would be. thanks. i also have the edge w/ attitude and the tranny was just rebuilt a few months ago. any help would be great.

 

try ressetting the voltage on your apps i just did it to my truck and it has not jumped since here is a write up on how to do it.

With a 2k, you should be able to check the codes in the odometer. Check those and that should point you in a better direction.
