Anyone running a Garrett ball bearing turbo?

A kid I work with has WRX that has a Turbonetics ball bearing liquid cooled turbo and says the Garretts are one of the best.

Whats the deal with them on the diesels?

I see HT Turbo has them on there website with an 82mm compressor Stage one and two. 88mm Stage III.

Are the Garretts equivalent in size to say the HTB2 or PS62?

Probably won't have the funds to put a different turbo on soon, but if I did, I think the quicker spool of the ball bearing would be an attractive feature. Either that, or maybe by the time I have the funds, there will be aftermarket Variable Geometry turbos.

I see they only recommend 40 PSI though Garrett kit

i am not sure the gtp37r is out yet... i think they might still be in development.
as far as variable geometry, i believe ATS is working on the aurora MST... not sure when it's due out.

I purchase from Midwest because they are 10 minutes from my house and **** cool people... they have some turbos for sale, not sure if the price is the best as I'm really not in the market for a turbo. The Holset is an impressive turbo but I cant argue with liquid cooled ball bearings.

I agree that if you're looking for the best performing turbo, VG would be the best in my opinion.
