anyone running add-a-leafs?

I put a 2" leveling kit on my truck and ever since then the truck sits level without out any load. I carry about 300 lbs about half the week and just that wieght alone will drop the back a inch. Since mines a swb it doesn't take anything to make it sag, no factory overloads. I was thinking about running a add-a-leaf, but wasnt sure on how much it would lift it. I thought about just doing a taller block but I will still have the same problem with handling weight. .

I did the 3" spacer front and the thicker add a leaf in the rear and you can put around 1500 pounds in the bed and that will make it sit level. The down fall of it is it is really really really stiff.

I think I should get leafs pulled from my springs.

Apparently the previous owner tried putting a welder on it, and wanted better handling, so added more leafs.

300 lbs doesn't budge the height. Kind of choppy in the back :P 2,000 lbs makes it ride pretty nicely, though.

maybe take your truck down to a spring and suspension shop and have the rear springs re-arched and ask them if they think it needs another leaf.

Yes I am! I thought bags would be perfect, I do haul 10-17k every once and a while and its a trick hauling that kind of weight on this truck without bottoming it out. I was thinking about just buying the bags, I can make all the brackets and I have the air line. I think so far thats the best way to go. NMCTD, we had that done to a buddy superduty, they rearched them to lift the truck all around about 2 inches and it would handle weight alot better after that, even the ride improved, only thing is it wasn't to cheap.
