Anyone ever converted from the "old" towing mirrors?
Ya know, those most ridiculously retarded looking metal ones that bolted onto the door in 4 spots and stuck out about 3 feet? I'm looking at buying a truck that is right in every other way but those. Can I convert from those mirrors to the newer style plastic mirrors and just have a body shop plug the holes? OR, do the doors themselves not physically accept the newer style mirrors that mount up on the a-pillar? I don't care if their auto, I'm probably going to get the 2nd gen towing mirrors anyways.
Thanks,
Shawn

Mirrors
The 2001 towing mirrors will bolt on with out any problems. You will need a 10mm socket 1/4" drive and a door panel removal tool. If you take your time it takes about half hour on each side. Go to mopar4less.com order the kit. About two years ago they cost about $200. for both sides. They are not power mirrors.
