Any one running a Flex-a-lite fan? Does it help with MPG? Was it hard to install?

 

I run it on my 97, I don't know as far as MPG or horsepower but I like it beacause I can leave it run after I shut the truck off after I pull.

i take it that is jsut an electric fan controlled by a in cab switch?

 

Yeah im just thinking about using it for MPG.

 

i have some installed but they have never had to run... i uninstalled my fan a while back and it hasnt over heated yet. i live in the northern cali boonies tho. dont get to darn warm up here

yes it helps w/mpg but not enough to justify buying for that reason it's not a big increase. minimal at best. just like ctd uses his most guy use for cooling along w/a elec. h2o pump to circulate water and the fans to cool it after the truck is off after a pull!! they are a nice kit though. pm me your email and i have some pics how they mount i can send you if you want.
