See that's my problem. I like to lug my engine. It makes for a killer tailgater fix.

Yeah I think you'll be around the 420hp mark. I think it will last until you dyno. I wouldnt go above 2x2 on the comp while your driving around.

Whenever the next dyno day is.

SD4X4, I'm hoping for a little over 420 with the comp on 5x5 and the wire tapped. Untapped I'll be happy with 405.

Sure. Why not. I just got off the phone with Stefan at DTT and he said that if I turn up the pressures any higher in the tranny I'll blow the seals. He also told me that the most damage occurs when people stomp it off the line with tons of power. The pressures aren't built up enough in the tranny and that's when slippage occurs. Makes sense. He said that as long as I untap the comp and slowly roll in the power it should hold for a little while. But like anything else on these trucks, it's hit or miss.

You know what I really enjoyed is that as soon as I told him my name he remembered me and knew what I was planning on doing. He'd been following this thread and knew exactly what's going on. That makes me feel good. What else makes me feel good is that since I've got the VB and double deep tranny pan is that about $600 got knocked off the price of the tranny. So it went from being $3400 to $2800 with $300 installation.

well after installing twin turbo's, stage 5 jammers, and running on lvl 5 on the egde comp the night i put it all in........yeah before midnight the tranny bit the dust on the dyno... never made it to the street really except for a test drive....... but yeah instead of just buying an expensive tranny get with Dave... he is really good with his stuff.. he custom built my triple disk TQ off the dyno sheets i sent him.. and sent me the parts to rebuild the tranny with that most likely would brake......since then the tranny has done me Wanders... the TQ when it locks up.. there is noone that can stay with me.. its so tight that u feel the truck shake with some viberation a little from all the power going to the rear wheels.......ive only had one problem since then and that was when i shreaded the billet one peace input shaft when drag racing...........i kinda quit posting on this site because there are to many haters on this site.... and its pretty nasty when you go to a dyno day and someone from this forum starts to talk **** about you and your truck...cause you run into a complication of blowing a head gasket when on the dyno even with arp studs and fire ringed head at he dyno run.........

I talked to dave in length when I was looking for my valve body and while I like Dave and I agree that he builds a very sweet tranny and has a warranty second to none, he just doesn't have enough high horsepower trucks with enough miles on them to make me feel comfortable with his tranny. I'm looking to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 650 daily driven when I'm done. DTT has several customers running that kind of power with tons of miles and lots of abuse and they have survived the test of time. If I was staying at around 400-450hp, I'd go with dave hands down. I'm hoping that I can nurse the tranny along for the next 6-8 months until it can be built.

Stefan wouldn't sell me just a TC. Already asked. He said that with the VB and tight TC I'd be risking my front pump with the amount of stress I'd be putting on it.

i give you the first WOT run after you install the injectors. i put BDxxx155s in and the first run pretty much fried the TC. i had it booked in the next day to get rebuilt anyways so i didn't care much. took the 155s out and put RVs in with comp instead for the adjustments. just have to wait til spring to tap that wire though. too busy at work to have my truck down for a new VP if it goes. good luck
