Still not sold on the 370's, guess I'm afraid of making more smoke than I do now.....
Cowhand, get some PDR 370's. I was running a set of Marine 300 injectors and swapped directly to these PDR 370's and I believe what I was told. They burn better because they are matched, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. I have a lot less smoke than my 300's, and my EGT's normal driving/cruising were down about 50-75*.

For the price, and the ability to go up to 700HP man PDR 370's CANNOT be beat in my personal opinion.

Looks like I'm headed that way.....haven't found anything better yet.

Rumor has it the isn't a problem with the mid-range stumble with the 180 pump.

Got Smoke, how is your low end with the 370's and 16*?

Cowhand:

I ran the 370 Diamond B's in my 96' for over three (3)
years with no problems at all! I have a Scheid Diesel
"modified" 180 pump along with a Piers' HX-40/16.
I have NEVER had any type of "stumble" or hesitation
as some have described with the 180 pump.
My low end is very good and the truck runs consistent
low 13's @ 100 MPH. Mark (Got Smoke) has seen my
truck run and I agree with him that the 370's are one
of the best set of injectors out there for the 12 valve
trucks!

Low end with my truck seems to be very good. Depending on how low it is when you punch it is how good of response you will get. I have my truck setup to smoke, so my turbo has to catch up to the large amount of "pre-boost" fuel if I punch mine while its in the lower RPM range. However my rackstop is out and my plate is full forward so this is to be expected

Just in case you haven't heard, Garmon Performance Diesel has his new Pro Flow injectors. In the 24V engine we made 180 HP with just the injectors. The idle is smooth and even. With twins, the injectors, and the box on level 5, the dyno showed 467.

And I don't think there is anybody around these parts the knows more about the P pump for the 12V than Jeff. We are having a shop day today so if you have time stop by and see. Free burgers. David will have the dyno going all day. Jeff will be tuning a 12V, with the new injectors today. Yesterday the 12V made 667 HP so there is a little tunig to do yet. Try to get by.

See YA.

I'm testing a set of http://www.princeperformancediesels.com/ EDM injectors right now, I've had them in for a few weeks but I haven't made it to the dyno for the real test, once there I'll back to back them with the DD370's for a test.

Mark:

You know that ride in the 96' 12 valve won't be a
problem! It will run ALOT better when Scheid
Diesel gets done with it!! We will see if we can't get
those figures "up a little bit!!"

The smoke problem is best with the #10 plate the #4 will smoke alot more at the low end. With the 180 or 215 pump and 181 DV's your smoke level is fully controllable. If you add a race pump smoke will be with you at all times you can only cut the race pumps back so much and that isn't much. Get a Piers HX35 or HX40 if a little more lag is no problem, and you will have a good combo. If you are really afraid of smoke leave it stock or accept that smoke is part of the H.P. game but is controllable if you don't go extreme. Get all the pump mods 4,000 GSK, AFC. Change the valve springs to 60# ones and you will be all set.

Well, after about a dozen phone calls and much deliberation, I decided to start out relatively simple.

Ordered the 370's, a KSB1B with the HX40 outlet, ATS 3 piece manifold, and the AFC springs I never got around to ordering. That ought to keep me busy for a weekend.

Once I get tired of this set-up (which probably won't be long) I'll start thinking twins and EDM's.

Thanks to all who replied, and especially Don M., Rod @Wildcat, JR Adkins, Jeff Garmon, and Piers, these guys all patiently answered my stupid questions and were brutally honest in their advice. Wouldn't hesitate to do business with any of these guys on their worst day.
