Well, I got my Smarty from Bob Wagner yesterday and like everyone else I am very impressed and very happy . Throttle response is amazing. Keep in mind that this is my only major performance mod at this time. I still have stock injectors at the moment, I can't imagine what it will be like with some bigger sticks. I only tried SW #9 (full Catcher), but I'll be trying out the other levels.

The only problem I have now is my transmission. It was slipping very noticeably when I got on it. I was hoping it would take a little more abuse, but I was prepared for this possibility. I will drop in a good tranny as soon as funds allow.

This now leaves me with a decision to make. I figured I would go with some 80 to 100hp injectors to go with the smarty. But, now that I'm going to have to upgrade the tranny anyway, should I just go ahead and go with maybe 125 to 150hp sticks? I had pretty much settled on the jammers from City Diesel since I really can't afford the DonM's F1 injectors.

Just FYI, I am planning on getting a travel trailer in the next few years. Do you think I will need to upgrade my turbo before then, given that I rarely tow anything.

Sorry for the long post, I'm just fired up right now .

Thanks
Brad

Mine will be here soon. Feels like x-mas eve

Glad it works well as a stand alone. But once you get the trans straight you might not be able to afford the injectors for a while

Anyone have opinions on the injector size I should go with?

Not sure about which brands they're using, but quite a few folks are making 500+ with 150hp injectors. A lot depends on what you are willing to sacrifice to get to that point, as some combinations are way more streetable and towable. Twins with 500hp are *generally* pretty mild as far as boost/drive pressures, spool and EGT versus a big single. Cost is a major factor in my world!
