Thumbs up Denny T has a new satisfied customer

Just installed a Denny T stage II. I had a stock pin turned to the richest position. I have the star wheel set to kick in at 12 or so psi. I ditched the nylon washer. Tomorrow I will check the travel. I have only had time for a quick test drive over my favorite hill. I saw about 8 to 10 more psi and 600 to 700 deg egt @ pre turbo. The truck clearly pulls harder. 105$ well spent. Thanks Denny!

Easily the best money I have spent on my truck so far. He makes a very good product, and he is a real nice person. I had a very pleasent experience buying from him.

What is the difference between the old smokey pin and the denny T stage I or stage II pin? I noticed a lot of difference with old smokies pin over the stock pin set in the rich position.

To those of you who have them, have you noticed any changes in fuel mileage such as increased or decreased after adding the pin? Do you have any idea what the power increase is for the stage 1 vs. the stage 2 pin?

Thanks,

Dawson

I didn't notice any difference in economy, well, until you start puttin your foot into it

DennyT is a first rate guy, stands behind his stuff and I wouldn't hesitate to do Buisness with him again

Really? I was interested in buying the Stage 1 fuel pin. My pickup is pretty mild and mainly used for hauling bed loads and towing (boat/5th wheeler).

I actually did notice an increase in mileage. I believe it is because my tranny is shifting correctly now, and I don't have to use as much throttle to get to speed. Without the pin, on a totally stock truck, getting up to highway speeds, my tranny would shift at 45-50mph. With the DennyT Pin, it shifts right at or a little above 35mph, because I don't have to use as much throttle.

He doesn't make the Stage I anymore because most people went with the more aggressive Stage II. I believe the Stage I was supposed to be 20rwhp over stock, and the Stage II is supposed to be double that.

As far as towing with the pin, I don't think you would have any problems at all with the Stage II. It is a very noticable increase in power, and I think it would be very welcome towing a 5th wheel.

Well, if the Stage II is "daily driver" friendly then it's a seller for me. I would be interested in hearing more "testimonials" from other happy 1st gen folks who have the Denny T pin.......... more along the lines of people who use their pickups for towing, hauling loads, and other forms of work.

The Stage II is very daily driver friendly. It really wakes the truck up, and makes it a lot more fun to drive. Mine was stock other than a 4" straight pipe when I installed mine, and it made a huge difference.

As far as towing with it, I have no idea, because my truck has only seen one trailer in it's 17yrs, but I'm sure someone with experience will chime in.

I know I remember seeing a picture comparing the two. The DennyT pin was more aggresive, i believe. I'll see if I can dig the pic up.
