Ok heres the deal Your going to need a cam to run the mech. lift pump I recomend the Haisly street puller cam it is a performance regrind and i am running it on my truck and an my buddys 01 p-pumped 24v. first you need to pull the cam to get the gear case off. with this adapter ive come up with all you have to do is bolt it on the 12v case then trace the hole out then use a die grinder and make the timing pin holder a little bigger where you traced it. then bolt the adapter on put the 24v cam gear on your new cam. then instal the 12v case put your cam in bolt on the mech pump and spacer. slide the cam sensor in plug it in bolt on all of your 12v pump brackets your going to have to modify some of the fuel lines to make everything work but when that time comes you can call me and ill explain cuz I hate typing. but for a experieced mech. it would be a 2day job.
any body that has anymore questions about all this can give me a call at 325-998-0267 or 325-200-8847.
thanks
jake

The reason they mod the 24v timing gear case is cuz all used 12v gear cases around here are used, since so many convs. are done already.
where can i find 12valve timing covers?
and whats the reason for an upgraded cam? (besides the mech pump lobe)

Thanks for the info Jake.
12Valve-I know that scheids sells new 12valve timing covers. you might be able to find one at a junk yard or maybe on ebay.

You dont have to have custom built pump brackets you can just use the one for the 12v motor they will boltup. what I did is I bought a complete 12v core for $500 at the wrecking yard. then you have everything you need except for a cam and injector lines. if you have $2200 to spend then you have enough to do it IF your doing it yourself. Yeah and the FASS isnt going to cut it you can find an aeromotive pump that runs 40+ but if I were you id just run the mech lift pump and a new cam. JMO

Either you get an electrical pump that goes up to 40 psi under full load (very expensive) or you get a cam provisioned for a mechanical LP and get a 12V LP. (Much better and more reliabel)
The P7100 needs a raise in pressure when you raise the RPM and when you raise the load.
So even if you get it running on idle with a small electrical pump you will starve the pump as soon as you get on it.
