can i stack a hypertech with a power edge?

I was told that they both do timing. I was gonna try that stack way back in the day, but was told it won't be good on the engine.

 

Like a Edge Comp and a Smarty(on even levels) works or a TST and a smarty work really good!

 

im looking at buying an edge chip from a buddy, so ur saying i can stack it with a smarty? i have read lots about the smarty, seems to be the popular choice for sure!
oh also will and edge chip off a 2000 dodge fit my 99?

Yeap it can be done... I've tried it...

With the Edge comp on 5x5 and the smarty on Level 8 I was able to slip the clutch in high gears... But in low gears it would roast the tires big time!

 

Not without a tranny upgrade.

 

be careful stacking anything that mods timing. Too much can get VERY expensive...not just cost you performance.

haha i know i need trany upgrades, but i have an oppertunity to buy the chip now for a good price so just wondering if itll fit my truck and what i can do with it in the future!
