are all electric fuel pressure senders the same?

my truck came with an electric westach pressure gauge...the gauge broke and im looking at autometer and nordskog replacements...since i already ahve the sender in place.

the nordskog gauge says you need their sender...but would it work with the sender i already have? are they the same signal etc?

the send is fine...i know because im the one who broke the gauge itself LOL...had a little temper one night working on the truck and pulled the pillar out...then got really ****** and pulled too hard...ripped all the wires from INSIDE the FP gauge

i may end up going mechanical...but since i have this electrical sender in place, why not use it?

To answer your original question, you need to know if the sensor operates on a voltage difference and what range of voltage. So in reality the sensor really does need to match the guage. Think of it like an oil pressure guage, when your oil pressure sensor goes out you get one to match the guage right? This doesn't mean that an autometer guage won't work with the sensor you have because they very well might operate on the same voltage difference etc.
