I just aquired some firestone bags and am looking at installing them in the rear of my '97. I can build my own brackets no problem just curios how poeple have installed them. I am either thinking directly above my springs or inside the springs and build a perch off the axle for them. Anyone have any pics of various setups? Any pros/cons to either setup? Thanks.

 

They are usually attached to the leaf springs via a bracket with U-bolts on the airbag side that takes one bolt. On the top side with two bolts and a port for the air fitting there is an L bracket that attaches to the frame with four bolts. The L bracket should have angled gussets at each end to provide strength.

 

That was what the kits I've noticed do.
