i have a 97 5-spd, #100 plate, and afc starwheel full forward, my brother has same truck, when he bought his the line coming from the wastegate to the back of the afc housing was blocked, i blocked mine , it seems to build boost much quicker and went from 32 max to an easy 40, what is this line, will this hurt anything to block, will it help other than build boost, seems like the truck is a little more peppy, but could be in my head,

 

That is the line that opens the wastegate. Lots of people block it on the 12v's, me for one, but you can blow a head gasket if you aren't careful. Been there!! Anything above 35 is just hot air and you are overspeeding your turbo.

I bought mine from fleetfilter.com it is a wix filter same as napa. The number is wix#42790 and napa #2790. I paid $49.32 shipping an all. It is about 60 or 70 bucks an napa and is the same thing'
