AFC gutting

I am interested in doing this. I am concerned it may do some harm to my truck. I have heard of problems, but never specifically what. I also want to know exactly what I would be removing from the AFC. I would love pictures of the precedure. any help would be great.

Look up

DTR member 12Valve, he has some kickin photos in his signature on how to Mod your AFC. If you want to tho, u can take off the AFC and just remove teh arm as a whole, Remove the four screws in the back of the AFC, pull the assembly apart, and just remove the arm, and reinstall the same as u took it off, minus the arm...

I suggest 12Valves way tho, but both work....

How much of a difference does taking the AFC arm out make? I guess, what are the pro's and cons, because wouldn't everyone want to do it?

The con is lots of smoke and bogging if you pin it without boost. Your truck will problably be faster with the Afc tuned correctly.
