good luck with the adrenaline
MAP pricing keeps everything fair for everyone. He's not shooting himself in the foot, he is protecting his dealers that want to abide by the rules. It makes it so everyone wins (manufacturer, dealer, and consumer) Any reputable company in any market has MAP pricing.

well until quad takes his MVP pedestal away from him then he will continue to sell them for whatever makes him the most.

sell 2 items for 50.00 each or 10 for 40 each and get better pricing from the mfg. for volume?

No, it's like Dodge saying you have no warranty if you don't buy it from a Dodge Dealer that's on good terms with the manufacturer.

Car dealers aren't bound by the same agreements many other businesses are in their agreements with the manufacturers.

That's why there are "good" dealers and "bad dealers".

The presence of a bad policy in the auto industry doesn't mean Quad is obligated to adopt it.

Just like there are many auto dealers that "punish" their fellow brandmates with actions that either impugn the brand name or cause the manufacturer policies that hurt ALL the dealers in the same of self-protection.
