94-97 requires hanger modification to tailpipe?

I bought an 4" exhuast from markidaho on ebay. The box says "silverline". Nice looking system, BTW. I have the downpipe on, but when I get to the tailpipe, I notice the instructions say "94-97 requires hanger modification to tailpipe."

Anybody know what this is? It came with a hanger I'm guessing needs to be bolted to the frame. Does it use existing holes? Adding the hanger reallys isn't a modifcation to the tailpipe. There is no mention of the modification in the instructions.

I probably could figure out eventually, but I hope some who has "been there, done that" can offer some advice. Thanks!

The oem hanger is welded on the 4" curve, mounting bracket attaches to the outside-frame too far back to fit the a\m exh systems with no s-curve - remove and pitch the rear outside-mounted frame bracket, install the new inside-mounted bracket to fit the hanger on the new tp

Thanks

To install the new bracket, do you just eyeball it and drill holes?

See if it will align with the factory holes first - if not, clamp it and drill

If yours waslike mine, it had a hanger with a rubber strap that wont reach your new exhaust tailpipe.. i bought a universer hanger at napa and self tapped it to the frame, and got rid of the old one.

I just bent the rear hanger so that it was horizontal to the frame. Then I stuck it into the original hanger.
