94-02 Dual Gauge Steering Column???

Fellas,

Does anyone know if/where I can obtain a dual gauge steering column mount? I've done a search here and I've checked all the other regular places, but maybe I just haven't found the right place yet? Any help?

Summit has them. Do a search on gauge accessaries. I just ordered one for my truck. the part number is ATM-15014. This is for 2 1/16 gauges. Hope this helps.
Joe
EDIT: My bad when I searched it came up for for my 2000 but upon double checking starts for 03 Guess I'll have to send it back.

Joe, are you sure it is for a 94-02? I just looked at it on their webpage and it looks like it has the hole for the hazard light switch in the middle. That would work great for an 03+ truck, but not our year trucks. Do you have it installed yet?

Auto Meter only makes the single pod for the 94-02 Dodge Ram.
They make the dual pod for the 03-05 Dodge Ram.

I have not seen another company that makes a dual pod for your application.

That doesn't mean that there isn't one out there though.

I checked with everyone I could get ahold of and there wasn't a dual for 94-02

This is what I concluded, but after speaking to a friend over the weekend I was told otherwise. I think I am going to get a Commander instead of replacing my analog gauges so the steering column mount is out the window now.

Thanks for the input though guys!

Just FYI Nick...I've got a universal mount X-monitor on the steering column!

What are you trying to do, anyway??

I was thinking about the Commander instead of analog gauges as well (cost is about the same). But to date Quadzilla hasn't said when they'll (if ever) release the pillar mount for the 2nd generation CTD.

Chris,

I'm going to replace my gauges. The stepper motor in the pyro is acting up and sticking around my highway cruising EGT of 700*. The gauges I have are the ATS branded ones made by Faze Gauge (division of Actron) right here in Cleveland. ATS had them make a special run and the ones I have are obsolete now.

I just put a poll up because I have been banging my head against the wall trying to decide. I like the looks of the DiPricol Optix units, but I think the functionality of the Commander is neat to take over the sluggish control of my TST remote. Then I talked to David at Diesel Manor for a few minutes yesterday and he's got me thinking ISSPRO. The Optix look the best to me, the ISSPRO's use an air core for the pyro instead of the prone to failure stepper motor, and the Commander, well, 7 different parameters and ability to take over the TST controls speaks for itself. Ahhh! I'm going nuts!

I can't suggest the DiProcols...a buddy of mine has been through 2 pyros and a fuel pressure gauge!

I've run the Autometer Ultralites, and Stewart Warner's and I can say that I've only had one problem...my first Autometer pyro started sticking, Autometer replaced it, no big deal!

I also like the looks of the Commander...will it control the TST on the 2nd Gens?? That would be nice to have at time...EGT backdown!

Yeah, the Commander will take control of the TST, which I thought would be a welcome change to the sluggish remote of the TST. CASMOKIN (should change his name to PASMOKIN ) has Stewart Warner's and I really, really like the faces on them. I want to order something on Monday so I can swap them later next week while the weather is still bad. As soon as we get a nice warm day the phone is going to ring off the hook and that means I'll be all over the place looking at work.

How was your trip???

Excellent...now I can play

Need to do a little tuning on the voltage regulator to keep it from going into limp mode on me, but that's minor

Now the BOMBing can commence...GSK, charger, 370's, custom cut on the plate, afc tweaks...and that's just what I've got laying here

Chris

BTW, I went with Autometer Cobalts in a BigBlue Customs 4 gauge pillar for the 98...That's the next thing I can't wait to see how it looks
