Phil Taylor has a Garmon-Tuned 96 at 602 on a HT64/14. Nothng special, 370's and a 160 pump... Just takes good tuning.

Not sure of the setup but "Cousin Billy" (that's all I know him as) here in KY has dyno'd around 630 with a 66 but I can't remember which one right off. If I find out, I will post it. And yes, you can run the A5K in the 2.8 class.

Yeah, the A5K IS 2.8"

Pretty driveable on the street. Of course its pretty big for a street unit but not all that bad. The power is there when you want or need it.

My Silver Bullet didn't cool my Mach 5.5's that well, maybe your injectors are not as big as you think they are or your VP - 44 maybe alittle weak. Thanks Steve B.

The silver bullet has a better turbin wheel then the ps66, and cools better on the top end and spools up better. The ps64 has a surge problem but is not a bad turbo to use. I would go for the silver bullet or a A5K that should get you to 600 hp.

Your silverbullet isn't going to hold a candle to the new 16ss from htt, brock.

GetBlown5.9 I am really curious to know your new dyno numbers after getting your new mods done.

As far as tuning goes I won't have enough money to do it by dyno so my SOP will have to do, I figure plate position, spring stiffness/tension, AFC position and timing would be everything involved. I don't think my buddy Jayme will let me borrow his timing kit for the few months needed lol, so that I will have everything done by then. I was thinking to start at 18*-20* and see how that goes...

So far it seems that the Silver Bullet or A5K would be the best bets, what about making a hybrid with a GT42 like I mentioned, does anyone have any info of that being done or possible? How cool would the top-end EGT's be with a silver Bullet be compared to an A5K? In an attempt to get as much spool/flow as possiblwe I am going to gasket match and port out the exhaust manifold and "step" the turbine inlet with a good port and polish on the inside, do you guys think that will help much?

man, it would be a HOT sumunaB w/ a 62!!!!!

a silver 66 would be toasty, but it would be totaly drivable, especially w/ the cam and head work... with some water/meth, it'd probably be a pretty slick combo and EGT's probably wouldn't get too nuts.

have you decided what injectors you're going to run? I love my DDP4's, but I think they're pretty much maxed out... they'll need some drugs or another hooter to make more power... the problem is the spray pattern. I love 'em, but I think 18.5* is pretty much max timing with them.

with what you're lookin' at, I'd go w/ some EDM's that will support 20+* of timing. the timing will help get the power numbers up and keep the EGT's sane.

I think one of the reasons 12v's usually pick up so well w/ water/methanol is because the methanol effectively adds timing

Getblown,

I agree with what steve b and dzlfarmboy are saying, but not because i'm knocking your injectors. I've had two ctd's with manual tranny's, and two with autos. I really think the manual trucks don't get as hot as easily... simply because you can't stay on the loud pedal for as long with a stick as you can with an auto. I'd guess that on a 70mph to 110mph roll, your trucks would all react real similar in egt's. On a 0-100 run, your trucks not going to get nearly as hot because your going to lift at least 3 times.

Just my opinion.

Chris

For injectors I have some Columbus Diesel built 5x.017's. Me and my buddy put them in on saturday and WOW they scoot! I pulled my plate all the way to the rear of the engine to give me some control over the EGT's and massive smoke, with the plate I also adjusted my AFC and other stuff to be a little more tame. Even like that though it has a GOOD bit more power than before with all that stuff set on kill. My turbo right now is deffinately my limiting factor, I can smoke out everything behind me if I want to, even at full boost!
