600-650hp 12V

I saw the thread goin on a 5010-600hp 24V so i figured i would start this one. I am after about 600hp out of my truck. I already have the clutch for it and i'm going to be building HX40/ S400 twins next week. what else would i need to put me over 600hp?

600 is cake from a 215 12V

1) A larger single turbo like the HTT Pro-Street 66 or twins
2) 4K gov kit
3) A good fuel pump to keep the fuel pressure up to the 7100 (35-45 psi @ WOT )
4) A #10 or better plate
5) Hot-Rod 370's
6) A few hours of tuning

Bam! 550 HP +

How much bigger are the Hot Rod 370's over the marine 370's?

With the twins you plan on building, 625-675 is easy with the combo above.

12V,

It depends on what combo they are going in. Some can be larger than others.
All HR370's will support 800HP with right pump combination on #2. Some will support more.

I thought you have to upgrade the valve springs if you installed a 4gsk kit. I am also looking for around 550hp. I currently have a htt 35/40 12 wg turbo and was wondering what would be a good turbo for twins. Also looking at installing a set 0f 370s. If i wastgate the turbos at 45psi will I have to upgrade the intercooler or not.

The intercooler will be fine! That is a good turbo for twins, may have to go with a diffrent size exhaust housing but im not sure! You dont have to have upgrade valve springs but its a good idea over 3600 rpm!

Good to hear...how hard is 700??

Also, how do you set the pressure for the pump? I was planning on getting rid of the overflow valve and running some kind of regulator...any thoughts??

What about the marine 370's? What can a person expect from them? I'm only on a lowly 175 pump but I'm thinking with my combo and a set of twins I can see 500+.

With enough timing, probably! I made 403hp with 13* timing ( ), stock injectors, laser cut DV's and a 40/B2 combo at 60psi.

You'd need studs and maybe o-rings to handle a little more timing and the boost, but I would think 500 is very do-able!

I'm at 16.5* right now, and my HX40 is wg at 40psi. When I get around to it, after I get a clutch, I don't know if I am going to do a 40/3B or 35/3B. I like my 40 but I'll sacrafice some top end for quicker spool since I'm in a 5spd.

Use an S400...the piping is easier, and for not much more money you get a newer, more efficient charger!

I'd stick with the 40 on the 12v....they like bigger chargers! My HX40-16/B2 combo would be at 51psi by 2200RPM...that's not too bad for spoolup!

Do you tow?

Not much. I tow a ski boat in the summer about every weekend but thats about all. The thing is, I have these 40" tall tires with the factory 3.55 gears, so it is kind of like towing a small trailer. Right now with my setup, I can pull the boat at 70 and not get above 1100*.

Just saw the 40" tires...that makes a difference. If you do a 35, use an external wastegate so you don't choke the engine at higher RPM...the 35's wastegate isn't as big as the HX40's, and the drive pressure can get high QUICK with a 35!

IMHO,
Chris

If I was to use the 35 I would try the setup I saw where the guy had bored the wg to 40mm. If not I would definately put in an external wg. If I were to use the HX40, would the wg be big enough or should I use an external wg on that too? I'm pretty sure it has an 18cm housing.
